I mean after all, when you're walking around with their names on your clothing, you're a walking billboard for them. Think about this: The next time you go to buy name-brand clothing, ask yourself this question: "Why am I paying THEM to advertisie for THEM?" Next time, try this: Ask the clerk, "How much are you guys going to pay me to wear this for you? I mean after all, I am advertising for you."

Ive often thought the same thing. Still, it seems to be the 'fashion' to display the designer of the clothing so we will continue to advertise. Smart marketing really.

Ohhh yeah. That is even what I tell the dealer when I buy a car. If they won't pay *me* to have their sticker on teh back of the car, then I remove it.

In so many ways, we're billboards, and we do it for free

If you don't want to advertise for them don't buy from them. While you are at it don't buy cars or food or anything for that matter. How do you expect these companies to stay in business if they don't advertise?

I refuse to wear 'designer labels' that have the name of the designer exhibited, for exactly those reasons.

If you use that logic, we should be paid for everything we use and do because we're constantly advertising for somebody.
