i am in a room. it can be any room my bedroom, my parent's, the toilet or just any ordinary room. As i reach for the door to leave, a force would suck me back and a feeling of terror would take hold of me. Like as if there's something evil at the back and its sucking me back preventing me from leaving the room. i would struggle like crazy. sometimes i would manage to leave other times it would seems impossible to get out. But the dreams always ends before i get totally pulled back into the room and whatever that awaits me behind. ( there may or may not be people around but they don't seems to be aware of what's going on like they are the background of the dream...)
This affect me too sometimes in reality when i wanna leave a room I would suddenly get the feeling of terror that a force was about to hlod me back and I would literally rush to open the door and leave.
I had this feeling and the dream alot more when i was younger but very seldom now.

A person’s life is full of dreams. Dream can be about one’s ambition which he gets fulfilled with the passage of time thru his own hard work, intelligence, good planning and with the blessings of Almighty. Another is day dreaming which is really not a good habit and can be controlled with one’s will power. But what about the dreams a person experiences during sleep. Do they hv effect in our real life? What do they mean? What is their interpretation? The person asks to his friends, elders and seniors in his social circle. Sometimes he gets satisfactory reply and sometimes not. These days Internet is a rich source of information. So one does not need to depend on others for one’s dream interpretation. The Yahanswerholics Community member suggests the following.

It is a dream of insecurity

Your rooms = your safety zone
Being sucked to other dimension = lose security

You may be into some sort of sense of insecurity. You projected that you are being sucked while you are in any room. That force basically is your subconscious mind telling you that you are insecure. It is a suppression of being let go of your fear.
It could be fear of independent, fear of responsibilities. Now and then you have this dream because you have some issues going on. Only you will know what it is. It could be some words someone complain all the time at home. It could be at school or work.

Try to get some quiet time by yourself and slowly think back to when you were younger see if there is some post trauma. Because of some bad situation as a kid. Like being left behind at a baby sitter or child care center or somewhere you really didn't want to stay but your parents said you had to. This may help you to sort it out and come to grips with something that cant hurt you any more. God Bless.

I think all of them are symbolic. The room you're into represents your reality, either it's good for you or not. It's a place where you know everything that surrounds you. The door is definitely a "passing" to sth else. Anything: from a new friendship to a new house where you're moving. The fact you feel terrified when you walk towards the door might symbolize your fear of any kind of change in your life. It seems you are afraid of what your next step will bring. The "outside" of the room in your dream might be your future and the force which prevents you from opening the door is your fear of what tomorrow will bring.

I believe your dream is trying to tell you that you have a fear of being left behind. Maybe this started when you were a child. As you grow older you can use your dreams to accomplish your goals in life. By getting to the door early and rushing out into your future nothing can hold you back.

try to think about the dream in a less literal way. Your subconscious is trying to tell you something and you have to listen. Since you had it as a child more it probably means that something happened what you were a baby and you blocked it out, but as you grew it tried to come back through your subconscious. If they are starting to reappear in your dreams, something kick started that memory. Ask you parents if something happened to you when you were a baby. I used to have a similar dream about being locked in a room and I couldn't get out no matter what I did- it would vary from time to time but the theme was the same. I asked my parents if something like that happened to me and they said when I was about 18months old the wind had blown a door shut in the room I was playing in, the babysitter didn't realize I had been locked in and apparently I tried to get out for hours.... I supressed this because it was traumatizing to me but it would come back in my dreams. Write the dreams down and look for themes, it will help you understand.

This sounds like a typical anxiety dream. Are you an anxious person? Do you tend to worry about things? Is there something that is currently causing you conern? Because ,often, worries and anxieties manifest themselves in our dreams. It's our brains way of trying to tell us that something isn't quite right. The 'evil presence' you describe could symbolise the issue causing you to worry. You are being pulled towards it, forced to confront it and acknowledge it. Maybe, if you can identify this problem in your real life this dream will cease to occur.

I feel it is quite literal - you feel "held back" by something. Maybe you do a lot of things only because others expect it of you rather than it being your own true choice - this would also fit if you are becoming more independant over time as you get older and rebel against social constraints that don't fit you.

technically the room symbolizes your mother and how you feel trapped in her grasp but as with all dreams I personally believe it means you sleep I have never cared about my dreams but that's because I have such crazy imaginative dreams that I have no choice but to assume that they don't mean anything you'll find as you get older you may get married you will have dreams your with someone else someone who doesn't exist and if you take stock in these dreams it can lead you to unhappiness so I suggest you just assume all dreams happen because you are sleeping and your brain is allowed to run wild and a neat thought is most male dreams are in black and white and most female dreams are in color good luck
