If the football boots are constructed of old-school soft leather (like Adidas Copa Mundials), that process actually works well. You have to soak them for a good hour or two in warm water, and then wear them for a full day as the leather dries out. It will mold the boot to the shape of your foot, and fit like a soft leather glove.

However, many boots these days have a type of plastic material on the exterior. I doubt if this process would work on those boots, as the plastic won't expand and shrink like leather does in water.

So if your boots are old-school soft leather, try it out. I think it works well.

Yes it is true, i do it with my rugby boots. You put them on, stand in the bath and fill it up with relatively hot water. It then causes the boots to kinda mould to your feet.
