usually i shutdown my computer and dosen't switch off
the main power supply.
it remains off untill i press the power switch of my
computer to start my computer.
But from few days my computer turns on autometically
as soon as my telephone rings.my phone is connected to
my computer . what is the reason & how i will resolve
this problem

Computer starting by itself on phone rings is not strange. Many computer feature, except that they disabled by default. In your case you or someone has enabled it. Go to BIOS settings, usually by pressing the delete key during pc startup. In BIOS setting, go though the different menu options to find where "Wake-up on modem act" is then disable it.

You need to go into your BIOS and you should see something like Wake up on Modem ring or something like that.
If you disable this option it should stop starting up automatically
To get into your BIOS read your manual, normally you press the delete key or F2 ( or others depending on your PC) after you start your computer before windows start

I am not sure why that it is. My first attempt would be to get a phone filter leading into your computer. This should lessen any electrical charge that may come from the phone line. These are usually provided free of charge from your internet provider.

Open Internet connection menu by right clicking. Set the option do not connect to Internet as only when allowed . Then see

You have enabled the wake-on ring option in your computer BIOS setup just disable it.

you have three options:
1. unplug the phone from the computer untill you need it.
2. get cable, it's faster anyway.
3. get a seperate line for your computer.

IN ADVANCE SETTING
THERE WILL BE ONE OPTION
WAKE UP ON MODEM RING YOU DISABLE IT SAVE THE SETTING RESTART
