Its a urinary tract infection. It starts with the constant feeling of needing a pee, but when you go there is either nothing there, or it burns like hell when it comes out. It truly sucks and I used to get it all the time. (sry TMI!)
Try cranberry juice and drink plenty of water. Over the counter cystitis treatments do work - it pays to buy the more expensive ones. Also, in health food shops you can get vitiman sachets - called Orance C or something. Anyway - they do a cranberry one and I think thats helped in the past.

Cystitis is an infection of the bladder, but the term is often used indiscriminately and covers a range of infections and irritations in the lower urinary system. It causes burning sensations during urination and a frequent need to urinate
What are the symptoms of cystitis?
Burning sensations or pain during urination.
Frequent urination.
Cloudy and foul-smelling urine.
Pain directly above the pubic bone.
Children under five years of age often have less concrete symptoms, such as weakness, irritability, reduced appetite and vomiting.
Older women may also have no symptoms other than weakness, falls, confusion or fever.
There are a number of products available from your pharmacist to treat cystitis. These can be used unless a woman is vomiting or if there is blood in the urine or if a woman is pregnant in which case she should consult her doctor. Usually, a single course of treatment clears up the problem, but if symptoms persist after trying an over-the-counter remedy then you should consult your doctor.

It is inflammation of the Bladder and is usually caused by a urinary tract infection. The symptoms are frequency of micturition ( passing urine) with stinging and burning on voiding ( peeing).
Yes it can be cured, see your GP who will probably ask you to provide a urine sample and prescribe Antibiotics. It is important it is treated or the infection can involve the whole of the urinary system including the Kidneys which can be damaged. Drink plenty especially water to dilute the urine and make it less painful to pass. Tends to occur more frequently in women during the menopause.

the advice above, lots of water, also cranberry juice is good. If it's left you can get bladder cramps, (painful) fever, and pass blood, left further it could travel up to your kidneys and end up with kidney infection. If the cranberry and liquids dont flush it out then go to the docs for a prescription drug. Never ignore cystitis.

There are 3 opportunities- A biologically engineered virus for a terrorist attack. A biologically engineered virus for inhabitants maintenance. A of course occurring phenomena. We shouldn't panic purely by media's hysteria, the only reason there have been maximum of deaths in Mexico is thru utilising undesirable wellness care (no longer meant to offend each and every physique) and there has in basic terms been one shown dying led to by ability of Swine Influenza indoors the U. Personally, I think cystitis is one of the worst infections to have and empathise with you.
Symptoms
Pressure in the lower pelvis
Painful urination (dysuria)
Frequent or urgent need to urinate
Need to urinate at night (nocturia)
Abnormal urine color (cloudy)
Blood in the urine (hematuria)
Foul or strong urine odour
Treatment
Drink plenty of water
Buy tablet/powder from chemist
Don't use strongly perfumed soap/shower gel/bath foam
Cranberry juice is also excellent, just don't mix it with orange as it won't do it's job.
