Haha, if I say some then a few guys would bother to decipher their own crap because they wouldn't be so offended.

I was going to say only some? Hehehe, well it's that pride issue, many men have silly pride. All we really need to do is lock them all in a room for a few hours, and eventually they may take each other's advice ;)

Good old fashioned stubbornness! I actually think some traits that are attributed to men (or women) often could be traced back to something that might once have been useful in an earlier time. After all stubbornness in its more benign and useful form could be referred to as perseverance, which of course is useful unless taken to the extreme. At least that's what I see,but then again I'm just another stubborn hard headed man. I myself only have the problem of not taking my own advice or the advice of others when it pertains to women,so maybe I'm not the best expert on this concept, but it fits just the same no matter what the reason it's still just stubborn.I guess we figure if we beat our head on the wall long enough eventually it will get out of the way.

I may fit that description but then I think you might too. Do you?

That doesn't make me a bad guy. In fact I get compliments for the advise I give. I guess its ok as long as you dont show to others that you arent practicing your preachings.

some of them are very logical so they can really see things objectively and comes up with a very good advice, but when they themselves get involved in the situation, they get emotional and couldn't think clearly because they aren't used to dealing with emotions.
