An alternative energy source costs far less than bioethanol and burns much more energy has been invented a while ago and has been sold in the markets HERE IN THE UNITED STATES, while many missed the spot. But in fact, it's ALREADY HERE, and we'll no longer have to ***** around begging those barbaric and brutal middle eastern sheiks for their oil. Why wandering so far and disturbing their antiAmerican life for oil while we can generate it here?
The "designer fuel", what it is called, is a form of hydrocarbon produced by mutant microorganisms from organic substances such as organic wastes. The mutant microorganisms grew even more rapidly than vermins in those middle eastern sheiks' houses, and thirteen barrels of organic wastes could produce one barrel of this designer fuel in just a night. Yet, it's patent pending, that's why people never heard of it.
Well, it means the Oil Crisis would be relieved, and no need to fund terrorists in order to get some oil. What do you think?

There are many forms of alternative fuels, but unfortunately nothing so plentiful and cheap so as to take the place of oil, at least not now. Perhaps, if all alternative fuels were used together, there might be enough to break free of oil, however it might be a short-lived freedom in that some of the processes do require assistance from petroleum at some stage of the process.

If we wish to break free of oil, then we'll have to find a better method of procuding energy that doesn't rely on burning some sort of hydrocarbon. Should nuclear fussion become possible in the near future, it would certainly have the capacity to break the shackles of oil's oppression.

I think you should keep your day job, and not sell your Yugo yet. Prophecies of economically viable alternative fuels have proliferated for 30 years, but in fact US consumption of oil continues to rise each year. SUVs are getting bigger each year, and mean fuel efficiency of vehicles has gone *down* since 1980.

You can invent a new synthetic alternative to heroin, but that won't make junkies stop using the old stuff. See my point?

The environmental communities have been sounding the warning bell approximately this 30 years in the past, and in all risk previously. regrettably greed, selfishness, and stupidity gained the day and intake surged on regardless. regrettably, attributable to many years of rabid commercialist brainwashing the same dynamics are in tension today, for this reason the looming disaster.

Use Your Imagination!

What if the 7-Sisters embrased "Designer Fuel" technology on a global scale?

Would that change things? For all of us?

Have fun but be safe!

In Europe it's called "Bio-gas" and has been available for ages.

The new thing you refer to seems to be just a modified bacterium.
If your politicians weren't so enmeshed in the oil business you could have had it long ago.

no no no .. i have been hearing about these alternatives, and the truth is , they don't have enough resources to sustain everybody in the world.
Its a good thought, but it is just not viable for the whole world, or the whole of the united States
