That's odd that shouldn't happen unless you set you display to 640 x 480. Right click on the desktop then click on properties and click the settings tab... resize it to 1024 x 768.

On the top of your browser go to VIEW. There will be a drop down menu, click on TEXT SIZE. Change it to whatever you want.

hold down CTRL and move the wheel on your mouse, that will change the font size on the screen.
