Because they, Islamic/Muslim followers want Britain to become an Islamic state.
Following sharia law.I saw a programme where these young Muslim boys said they wouldn't stop/ and bombs wouldnt stop until Britain was an Islamic state.
We are walking on egg shells because we are acared, we cannot see and reason with our attackers. Bombs don't discriminate.
Look at these sites..

I predict the immediate future of Britain as follow: 1. BNP will gain a sit in a years time. 2. Troops will come home after that time. 3. Unemployment will reach 4 million within 2 years from now. 4. We will see the real effect of true inflation by summer next year, not just on food, but all other necessities, as well as housing. 5. Britain wii be part of the Union (Lisbon treaty) for extra protection just in case USA will not protect her, or she is not willing to be told what to do by US. Since the war, Britain is really part of the US state and have to play along for protection. With the Lisbon Union now, can go either way, and in the long run have to be part of the Union. Soviet got it's Union, China got it's Union, and Europe must have a Union, individual members can't run on their own, need a Union to stay as part of tomorrow world power, because increasingly, America only look at Russia & China are the the world true 3 way world powers, a small Britain state cannot be a power, thus the Union. If German did won the last war, Europe would be a Union anyway with capital in Germany.

We are not many years away from Civil war in this country
If you think I am wrong just check out the news reports on the last troubles in Birmingham, Bradford and Oldham.
The Government is naive if it thinks these problems can ever be solved by peaceful means.
The British are a tolerant race as a whole but when the majority of the population in a town or city becomes ethnic and the white population feel it rights and privileges are being eroded it will be then that violence on a scale, never seen in modern times will erupt.
Check out your local gym (Muslims are already preparing)
It would seem that according to Muslim logic "It is perfectly acceptable to burn effigies of the Christian religion ( The Pope)
but it is the cause for a holy war to print a cartoon of Mohammad
It was a sorry day when the government let these people invade our once great country
In the words of Enoch Powell "The streets will run with rivers of Blood!!!!!!!!!!"

Islamic extremists are dangerous. Ignore this fact at your own peril. When you have enemy who is willing to kill innocents as a means of conducting war and further is not afraid to die for their cause they will always be a force to be reckoned with. However, you cannot live your life in constant fear. The honest truth is that we will all die someday. The chief goal of terrorism is to frighten you into appeasement and ultimately acceptance of their views. Do not give these people the satisfaction. I for one would rather die free with my head held high than cowering in fear inside my own mind. Every day is a blessing, any given day could be your last, make every day count. I am not British, I am a citizen of the United States, but in the war against terror we are truly brother and sisters.
Simon D: No offense intended, but you are more dangerous than the terrorists. This because despite all the evidence to the contrary you still believe that terrorist can be reasoned with. You cannot reason with fanatical ideology. The only peaceful solution extremist Islamics will accept is the total conversion to Islam by the entire world. This is not going to happen. As I said before, ignore this fact at your own peril, but there are many people in the world for whom this is not an acceptable option. We have tried the tactic you suggest, and it doesn't work. Additionally, exactly how do you propose to prosecute a suicide bomber?

Interesting statement! I don't live in the UK and I don't hear about the details like you describe. I didn't know your gov't was making any statements to the like, nor your newspapers were printing such warnings.
As for why the hurting of normal ppl, you really need to read up on, and try to understand, the teachings of islam. They believe they are doing the right thing, kind of like the Crusades of 1068, and the rest of the world is wrong. Period, amen! I happen not to agree!
As to being scared and walking on egg shells, I can only say that b/c we live in the 21 Century certain technologies are very open to misuse by anyone at any time in any place and extremists do not have the market cornered!
I say don't be afraid, be very afraid!

Because there is a war brewing.... a religious and race war. This is the beginning and i am convinced it will get worse in this country.
It was started by the extremists in a response to world politics... and now it is spreading to every corner of our society. \it has and will touch everyone....... my best frined was shot down and killed in Iraq last year. He was an RAF pilot and a decent guy who believed he was fighting for his country. So now when the muslims scream blue murder in this country about their "human rights" i get angry because i know the sacrificies and pain that decent people have made in an effort to protect out human rights. So, that has changed my thinking about the world and certain sections of our community.
I believe this is how my grandparents must have thought in second world war. Imagine what they went through....... but at least then UK was united in the fight. This is an in-fight now.

Its a bit 6 of one, half a dozen of the other.
The media need to sell papers, the government wants to stay in power. The easiest way to ensure both these targets are met is to fan the flames of fear, in the 60s and 70s it was black immigrants, peace campaigners and communists who were the enemy, the 80s homosexuals and the "loony left" who got it in the neck, the 90s ravers, single mums and teenagers, the 21st century its Muslims.
Islam is not a threat, all this rubbish about Islamic law meaning we are all going to Muslims in 10 years living under the yoke of a foriegn religion is just that, rubbish. If it was true the UK would be a province of Ireland considering the PIRA threat that existed for so many years.
Try to look into a subject the press talks about or read news that actually has morale position of neutrality, the Guardian or the FT are the closest you will get in the UK, the BBC is sadly becoming a government tool though, SKY and ITN are a bit of a joke when it comes to news.
Whenever there is a new "threat" the nasties come out of the woodwork and start their evil, vandalising, threatening people, causing strife. These people are from every side, Muslim, Fascist, Christian, Animal Rights you name it, each has their maniacs and these are the ones that make the news.
If Islamic nations started invading Europe then yes i would be worried, but that hasn't happened indeed it likely will never happen. Our NATO troops are the ones causing all this, they are in these peoples spiritual homelands destroying their lives and cultures, killing even one innocent in the name of freedom besmirches the idea, the people that advocate it are usually not the ones doing the killing but are sitting at home watching tv getting fat and reading the tabloids, as this gives them a target for their anger at their own failed lives.
Reverse the situation:
You live in country X but your origin and culture are from country Z. In country Z are soldiers, planes and tanks from your new nation country X. On the news you see dead people on the streets all the time, they have no electricity, water is rationed and food is scarce because the providers have been destroyed. They can't let their kids out to play because of the cluster bombs sitting all around their town.
Many people you know or were family members are dead but you don't know why? They were just sitting at home when the bombs missed their target and blew them all to pieces.
You know there are some bad people in that country but they make up a tiny percentage of the population, almost everyone you know used to have a job and was quite happy farming, building houses, fixing computers, whatever..
Now, if that was you, would you be angry and want to do something about it? Would you fear living in country X, even though country X has laws to protect you the media tells you every day you are evil?
I am not saying its right, but there is a reason and its not hate, money or power...it's fear, the same fear you are feeling from the other side of the fence right now is felt by all sides of every conflict.
Fear keeps governments of all sides in power, fear keeps the media rich, fear sells weapons. Ignore the fear, its fleeting and unsubstansive, instead look for ways to help spread trust and understanding.
Terrorism will never enable the takeover of the UK by a foreign force, war might but terrorism never.
EDIT:
Harry H above, "we are heading to Civil War", hahaha. Get real, if you remember the eighties there was so much more civil strife than we have now, if not read up on it. Football violence , race riots because of police treatment, PIRA, miners strikes, and yet....there was no civil war.

Its inevitable that whan you bring large numbers of an ethnic culture into a country for cheap labour purposes, they will want to bring their culture with them, such as having their own schools, building mosques etc. Ultimatley this divides communities and causes friction. This friction has for some time been building up in the UK and is about on breaking point, what happens next is just a matter of wait and see, we can look at recent history to see examples of similar situations, Yugoslavia for one. It is scary.

No one has lived through this before: it is called history and it is constantly evolving. We all have to find our path through difficult times. Our parents and grandparents had never encountered anything like Wordl War II but they got through it and here WE are!

Do you honestly think the IRA were worse than this lot...
I served in the forces whilst the IRA were doing their worst against this country and I wasn't preturbed by it as I knew reason would prevail eventually, unfortunately this other lot have no reasoning in them. Again I am not scared as life will go on, but I am afraid for the future and for my grandkids (if I ever have any).
