WE think Germans are cool.We have NO problem, politically, with Germany. Some of the much older Americans,Those who faught in WW II,MIGHT have some tension but that is far and few.The girls in this country LOVE Guys with German accents. We love German beer, food and culture.I believe Germains are well educated, have better values than Americans, and are hard working and goal orriented.NOT to say we Americans are not.I have worked with a lot of German guys and All have excelled in careers, and became business owners, ect. One girl I dated, who was from Germany, could not beleive our American cars and our fasanation with ....CUP HOLDERS!." WE",(she said) do not eat and drink and talk while we drive.Driving requires FULL concentration. She could not believe that our school busses do not have SEAT BELTS!.She would NOT let her kid take the school bus to school, because of that.

I don't think I have seen a lot of people coming here from Germany lately, so there is no general impression of what people think that I can give you.
I would think Americans would be welcoming and friendly! I can't think of any anti-German bigotry.
I was in Germany once, a long time ago. I did not know the language, but people were helpful.
Welcome to the USA!
