Your refrigerator cycles into defrost on a daily basis. The water from the evaporator is supposed to go into the pan under the frig. Something has clogged this draining device. It is designed to let water out, but allow the cold air to escape. Pull the crisper drawer out and check to see if there is a drain there. You may need to pull you frig out and take the access cover off to look under frig to see where a tube comes down. Once you find out where the drain is you will need to use compressed air to blow it out.

If you have an ice maker, you might want to check the connection at the back of the refrigerator. You should also check the drain pan under the refrigerator. It may be full and have debris that is taking up the space designed to catch the water. If it is building a good bit of ice in the freezer, you may need to replace the door gasket and/or the door heater. The water you are seeing could be caused by the automatic defrost cycle designed into the unit. The water created by the melting ice drains into the pan below and the heat from the condenser causes it to evaporate before the next cycle if everything is working the way it should. It it is building too much ice then the pan will not be able to handle the amount of water created by the defrost cycle.

Are you sopping water out of a pan under your fridge? If you look under there, can you see a tube? If yes, then you most likely have a frost free fridge which is working just fine. It melts and drains into the pan (or maybe the floor if the pan is missing). It should just evaporate out of there.
However, if there is not tube, and you know you don't have a frost free fridge, then I would say it is probably on it's last legs. Put a pan of some sort under to catch the water.

I think your fridge is way too old already. Probably the rubber lining has worn out. The outside temp has gone into it that causes the ice to melt. Replace it, as it is beyond economical repair.
