It's natural to be a little cautious... But an accidental bite from handfeeding is a shock at most... Doesn't really hurt. With practice you can generally avoid an accidental bite, and they aren't that stupid... usually they know what's food and what's not. Only do what you're comfortable with though.

Having been bit by an iguana I love, I don't blame you for being nervous. Feeding time is one when natural instincts take over. Dragons are carnivores, they have teeth that kill insects. If they reach too far, they can bite you without meaning to. A bite will hurt. There is no real reason to hand feed them. Just handle then regularly.

I would be very careful around that dragon. The bearded type are normally used in an area where someone would need protection (castles, etc) and can be very dangerous. You may want to think about getting a different type of dragon. My last dragon was the spotted type and he was very friendly and could be hand fed without worry.

I believe Chrts. with reference to the coping with interior the tank ingredient. while my beardies have been that small and that i grew to become into new to reptiles as an entire, i'd %. them up a minimum of thrice an afternoon, yet purely of their cage. purely remember, babies are certainly extra finicky and such than adults. And it even differs from dragon to dragon. superb time to snatch him up is while he's napping. Quietly open the cage and gently %. him up for somewhat. worked like a charm on my youngest.

don't be scared i do it all the time !!!
just put the food in your hand and let it eat it.
it will only bite you if you are squeezing it too hard.
you don't even have to hand feed it.
hand feed it with bananas too its good for them !!!
if it bites you at all there is nothing to worry about it doesn't hurt and it won't infect you.

It's natural instinct to want to keep all limbs tucked away safely out of reach of big creatures with teeth and claws. So you shouldn't feel like a wimp. You're just taking care of yourself.
