All I have to say about this is, what had job status got to do with loving a person? Loving a person for his status in life is not love at all.

If you are doing the best you can and you have the love of a good wife, what the mother thinks is unimportant. If you can do better, then you owe it to yourself and your wife to be the best you can be. The mother is an insignificant part of the equation. Your relationship with your wife is the only important thing here.

If your job is really really bad, you should attend adult education and pursue a career that will enable to help your wife support yourselves and a family. If you think your job is sufficient, tell your wife to tell your mother-in-law to butt out. If your wife loves you, she will tell her mom to mind her own business.

if it was a love marriage then its natural that ur mother in law hates u for some reasons...and me or u or anyone cant help it..if it was a arranged marriage then its ok...coz mother in law could have thought b4 the marriage itself about ur job...u just proceed man...love ur wife well..its with ur wife and not with ur mother in law u r gonna leave with.

Just tell your in-law that you are doing something with your life, no matter how bad that job may seem, and that if she want's to critique you, that she should respect the decisions you make as an adult.

Nothing, I'm going through the same thing with my fiance' momma. She hates me, but he loves me......but which one of them am I marrying? OK. As long as your wife continues to love you, you have nothing to worry about. I think that's just an in-law thing.
