You should always try and forward spam emails to the bank in question - they can help get the sites shut down so that noone does fall prey to them
For Barclays, forward any spam to internetsecurity@barclays.co.uk
Also, consider forwarding any bank spam to reports@banksafeonline.org.uk as these people can also help stop the spammers

Sambo...
This is a Scam, DO NOT have anything further to do with it, do not send any money or personal details.
Whilst it appears that 'the fraudsters' are in London/UK they rarely are. They use the veneer of London/UK to add kudos to their Scams. The fraudsters use technology to hide their true whereabouts and identity. All information they have provided about themselves will likely be false.
Payment systems such as Western Union are used because it means there is no fixed location for the individual, and the money can/will be collected anywhere in the world using false identification. Even if the money is collected in the UK, it will be sent out again within minutes. The large number of Western Union / Money Gram outlets causes a problem. There are over a thousand in London alone.
The telephone numbers used are normally Platform numbers (Number starting with 070 or from international call's 004470) These numbers are set up via the Internet with various providers and unfortunately can be answered, again, anywhere in the world. The details given re setting up these account are, of course, again false.
Foward the emails you have to the following address:- reports@bankssafeonline.org.uk
Then mark the the existing E-mails you have as junk and then delete them. It would also be wise to set a rule to delete them before enterting the inbox - better still delete them at the mail server side.
By the way the Police are aware of this scam
Hope this helps

Certain Spam come and go and if you wait long enough hopfully they will stop.
You can also report them at Spamcop
With your email program you can filter out these spam emails to go into a junk folder.
If Spam is really bad and you cant stop it then it better to create a new email address and delete your old one.
If you ever create a new email address do not use real names like john123@yahoo.com as this will make it easy for the spammers to send you crap

Remove all references to your email address which appear online, don't subscribe to as many things or make sure that your email address is hidden from view online, check Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy before signing up to things, as a last resort change your email address and only give it to friends and people you trust.
I can vouch for eBay, they have my email address and I've never received a spam to that email address yet. Yahoo I don't know about, but my Yahoo! email address gets loads of spam regularly, most of it goes straight to the Bulk folder though which is good.

go to Options on the top-left side besides Help, My Account, etc. - somewhere at the bottom you'll find Block Addresses - or maybe you have to get into Spam to get to Block Addresses, but you'll surely find it somewhere there. you can block 500 addresses - use one of the block thingies for this Barclays - just type in their email id and there you go. i don't think they'll ever trouble you again, that is, if Yahoo!'s spam protection works (if you're usin Yahoo!) .

If yo are using an email browser (outlook or outlook express) download the latest "Thunderbird"
http://www.mozilla.com/thunderbird/
which has a really good anti-spam filter and you can import your settings and contacts from the microsoft gunk.
If you are using webmail it is worth going on their email site where you can usually report and delete any spam.
You can also have a look at this, I have been told it's okay but using Thunderbird I don't need it.

I get it too... from many different "banks" that I have never been with.
You will have to take down their email and then go through your options to ban this address..
Unfortunately it is a long process.
good luck

Please follow this path. Go to ur email page> options> spam protection> click the first circle which says Immediately delete messages> save. Ur bulk folder will always remain empty. It will solve ur problem.
