..k thats a harsh question, so really I don't mean it in a bad way and I doubt everyone is like this, but in my experience, all the relationships I've known - including mine and my parents' - are based on drinks, drugs, abuse and/or flat-out lies. When they say 'oh, he's honest' it means he has a car and likes to drive it at four o'clock in the morning with the music blaring out.
So do I not go out cus I'm tired of the "oh, we just want someone honest"game.. when in reality you have to be surly or have a really shallow personality and tell a load of lies..

Okay it looks like you have kissed a lot of frogs. Now it is time to find the princess. These people who have dissapointed you have done so for a reason. To teach you what you don't want. Therefore, try looking for someone who is not the helpless type. If you meet that type a red flag should go up saying."Warning Warning Will Robinson." ( sorry grew up with the show lost in space.) Stop believing that all women are like that. There are people that almost set themselves up to be abused. Not that they deserve it don't get me wrong. If you are not the abuser type they are not attracted to you. It's what I call the Doormat syndrome. They are sick individuals and need to learn their own lessons. They are not going to listen to you. Instead of dating the damsels in distress, look for a woman who is strong and independant. In order to attract her you must be strong and independant too. Find other interests ones of the mind. Take classes on things that interest you. She'll probably be there. Have fun and leave the doormats to the rough guys. Its sad to say but they have to learn themselves you can't make them learn no matter how hard you try.

Well some people yearn for that harsh reality about their partner..But by all means it's not a healthy relationship..HONESTY is great..but if you can't treat someone with respect and faithfulness then you probably don't need a relationship..Having one based on drinking,drugs,and or/abuse is not a good example for children..or younger siblings because they grow to think this type of relationship is acceptable..when it's really not..Not all people are like this..People who want healthy relationships..want that peace of mind when it comes to trust,respect,love,and being real with them...Some girls just will be treated anyway because they don't believe they deserve any better so they settle for less...

This is not an easy Q to answer... We want men that are strong and manly and can take care of us. I'm a strong independent woman that can take care of my self but I still like a man that's a man and not a wimp. I can't care less for a man that drinks or take drugs, in my eyes that's a total loser. I think you are socializing in the wrong crowd.

b) having fun is also very important.. my bf's too honest and I hate it.
Honesty is important in a committed relationship... not too much though... when she asks you if she looks fat, you should lie. But in a short term relationship just for fun. It doesn't matter.
I think the best policy is to agree in the beginning to do whatever you want with one another and other people and be honest about it.
hmmm... abuse isn't funny though anyone who puts up with it just needs they're head examining.

OK I think you attract what you are used to .You say all you see is drink ,drugs ext. so you need to get out of that seen because the girls in it are not going to give you what you want ,they are all needy and have bad self esteem ,so do you ? if yes then work on it get out of the crab and make your life happy then you will attract the right kind of girl.Don't fall into the trap of repeating your family patten ,break free.only then can you find the right girl.

Because we want you to honestly abuse us. Girls like bad boys not bad liars if we have identified the lie then you weren't bad boy enough we like to think you might be lying. That makes no sense I recognize that but I too love a bad boy so believe me it's not if you lie to us it's how you lie to us.

sometimes the truth hurts. whenever i ask for honesty, it is usually after i catch my man in a lie, then i'm pissed and need answers regardless of whether or not they hurt.
