Well that is too large a concept to answer just like that, but a crow using passing cars to break open nutshells and waiting for the green light to eat the nuts definitely is one example of at least rudimentary level intelligence. I know people who are not as capable :P

Us? I think there are just about us and a couple more species that brainstorm in the Animal Kingdom. Answering you was my idea of two points and probably 10!

Of course they are! Remember, we too are animals and even the so-called "lesser" lifeforms aren't really all that much different from us.
