Thats a difficult question, no doubt pharell is the hottest at the moment as he has his finger in everything and works with a wide spectrum and diff styles of music, constantly evolving and changing. Timbaland has a two good musicians in Timberlake and furtado with previously doing a lot of work for Missy but his sound stays pretty mush the same but is good. Dre is a legend but doesn't do enough nowadays. P Diddy I would put forward before your named southeren producers as he his going to make a big comeback in the producing game ie his latest song is amazing.

Dr Dre gets 5 stars. Why, because Dr. Dre helped pave the way for every one of the other producers and in some way more than likely through his early music influenced their careers. He set the stage for where hip hop was going, and has created his own distinct sound in hip hop. He has signed huge talents to his label and produced many many multi platinum albums. His productions have made Tupac songs great, eminem songs great, 50 cent songs great, and countless others. Not forgetting to mention his rap career of his own in NWA, basically being one of the first groups to intraduce gangsta rap into the mainstream. He continues to sit behind the scenes of music and create hit after hit, and with no pressure or rush, can drop another chronic album after 5 years and still be on top. Granted Lil Jon has had great success with his "Crunk" sound, you can only go so far with that. I see Pharell as the new age leader in production because he symbolizes the youth and a fresh "different" sound to hip hop. And that is appealing to a younger generation who is turning their ears to more original styles such as Indie type rock and hip hop. Different is better right now.

I would say that Timbaland is good Dr. Dre is also amazing so i would rate both of them as 4 stars

I would go for Pharell Williams. I think the collaborations he's done (alone and with the Neptunes) have been excellent, and also the stuff done as part of N*E*R*D was really good.
I'm not really a fan of that style of music but I find his stuff is usually really catchy.

They're all good otherwise they wouldn't be in the indistry. Timberland and Pharell are personal favourites though!

i love so much pharell williams..he looks great and he singd great...he's the best..i love his songs..the mosrt i love drop it like it's hot ft. snopp dog and that with gwen stefani..i forgot it's name now..:((((but anyway pharell it's gorgeous..i would fcuk him...if i only could...
