It depends on your skin. If you have sensitive skin, then Clinique would be best. It is hypo allergenic, has no fragrance and is created by dermatologists.
MAC has better coverage though.
I've used both, and personally I like MAC. It hasn't cause my skin any problems and gives me the coverage I want. But I still use Clinique's 3 Step Skin System.

I am a Mac girl. The quality is just fantastic and the products last for such a long time. Also Mac has a great variety of products, but the only thing is that Mac can be so very expensive. Lately, I have gone to Chi Chi (completely different tangent from your question) which is a Melbourne based company and their products are just as good and a lot cheaper.

soree im not into MAC but i was with Clinique for 10years,i thot only Clinique works for my not-so-perfect complexion.but i'll look good only for the most 2hours.friends wll start asking y my skin was peeling.now i switched to Missha - effect is GREAT!and much cheaper!go try it...

I have dry skin and I prefer MAC. But its according to your colour complection and quality of skin!
