somebody in mid 40s but gets depressed if he thinks he did a mistake or acted inappropriatlly with anybody or if somebody offends him or talk to him inaproppriatly? Does this need treatment?

No it isnt normal. I am 35 and often react the same way to similar situations. It has nothing to do with age. I think it is related to your self esteem, confidence, and sense of self worth. I suggest you go to a therapist to figure out why you doubt yourself so much, and work on improving your self-esteem.

Only you and a therapist can decide that. Sometimes it's good to go talk with someone and see what's really bothering you. Depression of any kind is serious and should not be taken lightly.

dude loosen up. if no longer something is going ur way that doesnt u might desire to kill ur self. u r merely 15 u didnt see something in this life yet. if u do each little thing precise u wont study. plus u cant do each little thing precise from the 1st time. and plus u gave up straight forward guy. paintings on ur self. strengthen. i'm useful u can. merely get those concepts from ur head and march into ur life with delight and self belief and no rely what take place be useful that u will locate the answer.

at any time when one feel bad , one need a voice to tell them why would that thing happen, what they should do to overcome the depressing feelings,to smooth one with care and understanding.

I think your friend is undergoing the anxiety of aging. take him to a shirk or talk to him directly about his worries.

Well i'm 17 anf i feel this ay. I went to my doctor and he refferred me to a phsycologist but i chickened out so a suggest you go to your GP 'cos he'll know what's best for you. Good luck x x x

Yes, he sounds as if he has extreme anxiety. They make meds that can help. I hope your friend gets help soon. I have been there and it is terrible to feel that way all the time.
