They tried to do that in the 1920's and ended up with illegal bars everywhere, it would just end up been the same again and people would end up dying because of the stuff that would go into illegal booze, people need to have their own self control to cut down on the booze, it is up to them to do that.

No. We should learn to drink responsibly. I don't have a problem with alcohol so why should it be rationed for me? In fact, I rarely drink and if I do it's about once or twice a year. Everything and anything can cause a problem once out of moderation. For instance fire can warm your home, however, left unattended it can also destroy it. It's the moderation that is the key.

Everybody should take responsibility for themselves. You have to accept that people with no self-control drink too much and can become aggressive or addicted to alcohol. Such people should be punished by the laws of their country and being drunk is no defence.

Its up to the individual to limit their own alcohol intake. Rationing would not solve the problem, if it were rationed people would start producing and selling it illegally

Nope!
It's only a minority of people who dont know when to stop. Plus alcohol effects people in different ways. 2 pints will make one person feel still sober and another will be very drunk on that same amount.

I wish they would as I have NO will power when it comes to alcohol. Then again I would probably end up in the nearest speak easy as a result.

No. It won't work anyway. People will find other ways of getting it, criminals will make money of out the weaker members of the community, etc. Better education and health conciousness is the way forward.

Naw. Then you would have the same problems as we do with the other illegal drugs. I feel that all drugs should be legal because it would put an instant stop to all of the crimes and other problems linked with drugs.
