I am 30 and have been on the pill since the age of 16, the only time i have not took the pill is whilst i was having may lil girl...Yes i did get pregnant whilst taking it!
Anyway, the thing is i have been single since March and have now decided to stop taking the pill, as of this week......anyone know of any side effects i might have if any.....i have been taking this drug for 14 years!!!

Mimisha - I smoke also, that is why i was worried taking the pill for so long!!

You are in exactly the same position as me although you are lucky you can stop taking it.I only stopped when I was pregnant nine years ago and I am the same age as you.I have also been taking it since I was 16 so if it was me I would be really pleased about it.After all it can't do much good especially when you smoke like me.Anyway dont think there are any side effects but you can always check with your doc.

i took it for two years and when i came off it it gave me the effects like i was pregnant nausea, headaches, bloated only lasted bout a month tho totally fine now

You may experience irregular bleeding for a while until your body settles down, other than that i dont think so

Ironically, your sex drive may increase!!
The pill is known to suppress your libido a bit.

I would say heavier and more varied periods. Perhaps longer and not regular.
