1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to have chocolate
(more than once but less than 10)

2. Multiply this number by 2 (just to be bold)

3. Add 5

4. Multiply it by 50 -- I'll wait while you get the calculator

5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1756 ....
If you haven't, add 1755.

6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.

You should have a three digit number

The first digit of this was your original number
(i.e., how many times you want to have chocolate each week).
The next two numbers are
YOUR AGE! (Oh YES, it is!!!!!)

THIS IS THE ONLY YEAR (2006) IT WILL EVER WORK

Nice, you could make the same principle work for any year, just by changiung the numbers in step 5.
Next year they will be 1757 if you've already had a birthday, and 1756 if you haven't.

The proof:
Your age is A, and you like to eat chocolate n times a week. You have had a birthday this year, thus you were born in the year (2006-A). (It's farily easy to see how it works if you haven't had a birthday this year.)
Steps 1-5 give you an answer of 50(2n+5)+1756 which simplfies to 100n + 250 + 1756, and then to 100n + 2006.
Step 6 gives you (100n - 2006) - (2006 - A), which simplifies to 100n+A, which is the first number you picked followed by your age (assuming you're younger than 100).

If you build the expression step by step you will see how it works.

1) choose some single digit number, N
2) Multiply by 2, 2N
3) Add 5 2N+5
4) multiply by 50 50(2N+5) = 100 N + 250
5) Add 1755 or 1756 100N + 250 + 1755 or 1756
This makes 100N + 2005 or 2006
6) Subtract your birth year
The 100N will put the single digit number you chose into the100's column of your answer. The 2005 or 2006 minus your birth year will give your current age depending on which year you last celebrated your birthday.

No mystery here.
