Zebra has always been black and white as their DNA has only that gene code. The colour of an animal is ruled out by DNA mostly though in somes cases mutation changes the colour also still it is evident that albino zebra is not common and only we see the stripes one.

b)The young of the zebra has brown and white stripes. As time pass by, the brown stripes turn black.

zebras r white and black if u think it is black then it have white strips and if u r thinking it is white then it have black strips.

originally they were probably dark-coated but also...originally they werent really zebras, so your Q is wrong.
