Wow. there is sooo ooooooo much to do in London. That isnt enough time. yes as the others say Soho because its different and has a lot of cheap eating places also. Try the buffet Chinese restaurants near Leicester Square Station... there is China Town with such a cosmop[olitan crowd in the Leicester Square area . This leads to Piccadilly Circus and the Eros Statue. You can go into Soho from Leicester Squre and from Piccadilly also this leads back to Tottenham Court Road and toOxford Street. Dont worry about getting bored the time will fly.Covent Garden is also good but a little more expensive ...you have the Opera House there with ballet and boutiques. There are theatres...cinemas everything in Leicester Square and covent Gardens. If you are there on a Thursday you have late night shopping in Oxford Street and Regent Street and the London Palladeon. Have fun!!!

How about an open top bus tour, they take about 2 hours and if you want to get on and off you can they run every 15 minutes or so, you will see all the major sights, and an expert guide telling you whats what.
Trafalger Square, Hyde Park, Oxford Street, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, London Eye, Houses Of Parliment and Big Ben, Downing Street, Covent Garden, St Pauls, Tower Bridge, Tower Of London, Tate Modern, etc...And you get a free trip on the thames included. (1 hour) You can get the bus basically anywhere I just mentioned but the best place is Leicester Sqaure or Trafalger square. It costs £18 (for 24 hours)
If you dont want to spend much money then remember most of the museums are free to get in, British Museum (Russell Square) With its mummies from ancient egypt is awesome. Or try kensington for the science, natural history and Victoria and Albert museums then if its nice have lunch in Kensington gardens.

There's about a million things to do in London, whenever you're there. Soho is nice, Camden is cool, but if you're just looking to hit the main sights then starting at Waterloo and ending up at Oxford Circus you'll see (in this order) the London Eye, Big Ben & The Houses of Parliament, Westminster Bridge, Westminster Abbey, Downing Street, Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square, quite a few theatres, Tottenham Court Road and of course Oxford Street. Have fun '_'

You have limited time but you can choose to visit some places like Trafalgar square, Chine Town for your lunch (buffer) British Musuem, London Eye is very interesting. You can also visit Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and Dowining Street. Tower Bridge is another interesting place. Just choose any of these and you not regret it.
Have a good time in London.

Depends what you like to do....
I'd say go to Camden - check out the markets and the funky shops (plenty of places for a snack too - don't want to waste time with a meal) Then a stroll along the canal or perhaps wander up Primrose Hill - If you leave Camden going North so walk with Stables/market on your left towards Chalk farm - just before you get to CF tube hang a left and you're on your way to Primrose Hill - Nice area to wander through for people watching and then some good views a top Primrose Hill - You could then walk back into town through Regents Park or head back to Chalk Farm and get on the tube.
Then again as lot of people have already said Soho is good - Carnaby Street area to check out too - still my preference wld be Camden as if you've been to London before you've probably already checked out Soho to some extent! Just another idea - let us know what you end up doing....
Have a fun day!

London is an excellent place to invest the holyday in household, especially with children since in London are lots of kid-friendly areas to see and this Hotelbye is the place to start knowing. In London you may get up close and personal with underwater creatures at SEALIFE London Aquarium or investigate the Science Museum, London's fun link of research and engineering and both are perfect for fun family holyday in London. London also offers for visiting the Tate Contemporary, Britain's national museum of contemporary and contemporary art. And, maybe not your investment SEALIFE London Aquarium; the house of 500 species of aquatic life, from sharks and piranhas to Nemo-style clownfish. London is let me make it clear an original city.

There easily is, 2 weeks in the past case in point, Scotland grow to be the centre of the rustic and of the international, because it voted in its independence referendum. Liverpool and Manchester additionally get their honest proportion of the limelight too. yet London is the main important city by potential of particularly some way, with international classification each thing. it is likewise the place the information and media shops have the headquarters, so information has a tendency to be very London-centric, and it is the reason it form of feels that London is the only place interior the rustic.

I love the area down by the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abby. You can also walk up to Trafalger Square from there and see the National Portrait Gallery. There is so much to chose from. The Tower of London is also very interesting but it was kind of expensive.

Tough - you can spend two weeks in the british museum alone. Take a ride on one of the "hop-on,hop-off)sightseeing busses - they'll take you around all the major landmarks in about an hour and if you want to spend extra time at one place - get off the bus, do what you wanna do, then jump on the next bus.
A ride on the Eye might be good, too.

Too bad you only have four hours- I recommend Camden! Exellent bars and restaurants, lovely shops selling unsual clothing for those a little more daring, go over camden lock and into the market, and cross over into Cyberdog where there is great clothes, exellent music, and always something going on.
Enjoy the people and the atmosphere of Camden.
