POPE IS ONE OF THE RESPECTED MAN IN THIS WORLD ALSO A VVIP. EVERY WORD OF HIM IS NOTED AND HAVE MASS EFFECT. SO I DONT THINK A SIMPLE GIVEAWAY COMMENT SHOULD NOT BE MADE WITHOUT PROPER THOUGHT. WE ARE LIVING IN A COMPLICATED WORLD WHERE POLITICIANS, LEADERS USE RELIGIONS FOR THEIR PERSONAL GAIN SO I DONT THINK WE SHOULD HELP THEM MORE.
WE SHOULD CREATE A WORLD WHERE RELIGIOUS HARMONY,PEACE REIGNS.

People now atleast must realise tht POPE is just a normal human being, human makes mistakes.
Whtever the Pope says doesnt mean he is right or wrong, people like him only gives direction to life, we as normal people should only hear the views not follow it. We ourselves are the best decision maker of ourself.

No absolutely not. If the Muslims, or any other religion has a right to state their beliefs and opinions, why can't the Pope? If you read the entire speech, he was trying to say that the two religions need to learn to communicate better. He was not trying to insult Islam. Furthermore, why is it ok for Muslims to say everyone must convert to Islam or they will suffer dire consequences. The Pope is not trying to kill Muslims. The Pope is not trying to hurt anyone. He was making a speech, and quoting something said hundreds of years ago to make an example. If the Pope has to apologize, then the Muslims should apologize as well for any comments made against Christianity or other religions.

No I don't agree. The Pope can say whatever he wants and shouldn't be bullied into apologizing by a bunch of crybaby towel heads. We are only living in a complicated world because everyone thinks if they get their feelings hurt that they're entitled to an apology. Well, the Pope is allowed to think what he wants to think and I think that Muslims should deal with the fact that some people disagree with how they're handling things.

If I recall... the Pope was quoting a previous Pope and emphasized that this was not his belief. No one can apologize for what someone else said, especially since the original quote was over 100 years ago. But, considering the response; my personal opinion is that the original quote is correct. The followers of Mohamed do advocate violence to spread their religion and because of this, today's world politicians are afraid to say anything in fear of additional uprisings.

He already has done! - Its not his fault if the media fixate on such few words from a 15 page address.. If anyone needs to apologies its stupid silly and over sensitive religious fools who take any reason to rant and rave about insults to Allah!.. It wasn't Christians who attacked nuns ! burnt crosses and said death to the pope ! WAS IT?

its quite unbelievable to me that words could cause so many people to act like idiots and riot... nothing the pope says is going to change anything and his words have no weight anyway ... hes just a clown in a fuked up suit ... if the pope had said somthing derogatory about my faith and jesus i would have called him a moron ... flipped off the tv .. and gone to the kitchen and made a sandwich ... what is the big deal?
