What kind of website that link points to? I'm afraid there are some kind of script language in that page to automatically close your browser. But in the main time you'd better to give your system and all security programs a totally update and scan it completely in safe mode.

Sounds like you're infected with spyware, adware, or a virus.
Do the normal cleanup, and avoid "suspicious" sites (porn, cracks, etc) in the future.

any link, or just one? id reccomend going to mozilla.com and getting firefox, i made the recent switch cause i had the same problem.

scan ur machine from a updated antivirus software....
A virus - thats the only probable reason....

u might have a malware (spyware, virus, or any other malisious code).
