It could work.
Aren't there machines in the far east which vend psp (play station portables) too.
You pay by card and out comes your console.

While i am sure you could save time (and maybe a bit of money, seeing as you don't have a shop and staff to think about) what happens if the machine takes the money and refuses to give you your item, or if it does the think is broken. How would you go about getting a refund - you would have to call the company and try and sort it out by phone.
