My 2007 Truck requires ultra low sulfer diesel, the pumps state it is a federal crime to use the "normal" diesel in a 2007 or later vehicle and it may damage these vehicles BUT you can't find the new diesel for sale yet in all places ( I have looked in 3 states) and is not even mandated that it be sold everywhere until 2010. Major B.S.

I asked the same question. The answer I got is that the low sulfer fuel is being "phased in" eventually it'll be required everywhere. Gives the companies time to sell off their regular stuff. The new 2007 engines (or so I'm told) will actually be damaged by using the regular diesel.

it is my know-how that the hot combination of low sulfur diesel fuels are ideal to run in older engines, yet you have got some problems with plugged gas filers, because of the fact the decrease sulfur gas has a tendency to %. up the dissimilar sludge it is outfitted up on the backside of your gas tanks. it rather is form of the comparable concern that occurs once you place an ethanol blended gas on your motor vehicle's gas tank after working without postpone nicely-known grade gas for a on the same time as. The ethanol brings up the water and crud on the backside of the tank, and you have got problems with blocked filters there too. once you're headed out to sea with an entire tank of the hot stuff, determine you have have been given a pair of spare gas filters.
