War, Patriotism, Race, Colours, Etc. What about being human?

As groups yes. See "The Crowd", by Gustav LeBon.

It is human nature to strive to promote immortality through various means. War, patriotism and race are simply tools people use to establish either dominance or security within a dominant structure.

What about being human? That is being human. It is the will to overcome that must be conquered to do away with war, nationalism and bigotry. However, unless and until all cooperate, on equal terms, with equal understanding with one common shared goal, we will be human.

The only way we can overcome these challenges would be to convince me to accept appointment as benevolent dictator, with full autonomy.

Unfortunately I think all those things point to our humanity: that is what makes us different from animals, not our questionable intelligence.

It is when we stop all this that we deny our humanity and focus on what is in side us- our spirituality. It is our spirit that has been locked in this shell and we need to escape. We need to grow our souls and revolt against our humanity. Only then will we find peace and acceptance. It sounds a little weird I know, but if you focus on it and come to understand it, then it makes so much sense. Try to go back to the core of humanity, meet a higher state of consciousness where war and race do not affect our points of view- just being full of love.

Does being patriotic, racist, starting wars, etc. make us insane? Or is that just 'being human'? I think that all of the above have been imposed on us by our environment, and the attitudes of people around us. It's not 'hardwired' into us. In ancient Greece and Rome slaves were slaves regardless of their race or color.

As for war, I see it as a primitive means of competition. Arguably, comeptition in different forms is an innate human quality, and war is one form of competition - whether its for land, religion, or just 'making a point'. However, I do see war as a very primitive way of competition -- nowadays, we can attain 'bragging rights' in other, more peaceful, and more meaningful ways.

We are spiritual beings having a human experience not humans having a spiritual experience.

You choose every moment to declare and announce through your thoughts, words and deeds who you are (free will). This is how you experience yourself in the world of opposites, something you could not do on the spiritual plane.

Be Here Now!

War.
It's like hunters who just hunt to hunt.
It's worst than cannibalism.

Patriotism.
What are we really fighting for?

Race.
When are we going to ever be in the same race? The HUMAN RACE.

We should see the bigger enemy here and now.
It is mother nature acting on GLOBAL WARMING.

Perhaps, that is humanity.

Or perhaps, humanity has been lost through all this hatred, war, fascism, race, religion, colour and creed discrimination, and we must earn it back again.

well....being normal would just be no fun. Look at the animal world, they have their wars and their own discrimations, the only difference between us and them, is that we have created our weapons with the incentive to destroy, not daily survival.

Congratulations! You're not alone. I hope one day Humanity will wake up and recognize that we are all the same. Thank you.

Someone once told me, "We are all insane, some just manage to supress it better than others."

I suppose there could be truth in this. All you have to do is look around to realise we live in a crazy world.
