Considering the fact that they couldn't make the playoffs with their current roster, major changes had to happen. Trading half of their team sounds about right to try and get the right mix and get the team back to the playoffs. Thank goodness, we're not Blues or Penguins fans, huh? By far, the worst 2 teams.

The team, though they worked well together, were becoming complacent. They had a lot of talent simmering on the Moose, and now they are getting a chance to flaunt their skills. This should be an opportunity for Moe to step up and become a little more than a playmaker. Cooker should be able to play a more offensive role.

Plus, the canucks have shored up their defenses, and added an allstar goalie to their lineup. All in all I think the moves will do them good, most likely not this year, but in time.

Bertuzzi will be missed, but I think he has an opportunity to start again and take a larger role in leadership with his new team.

after their mid season collapse last year and wanting to put the bertuzzi thing behind them, its not really surprising that they would start over the summer. So far they have made some good moves, which will insure they have a better season comming up. their only mistake in the off season was not resigning Carter, however that is not entirely their fault as carter wanted more than he was worth, for a forward on the third line he wanted 2.5 mil and he is not worth that, not yet anyways.

i don't know, it's kindof a bet isn't it, i mean, you still have to wait for new people to actually be better, but they could turn out worse. i don't know, i think we'll have to wait and see.
