Have him give you an orgasm with his hands or mouth first... that will really loosen your muscles and relax you emotionally so that it will (most likely) NOT hurt. Make out heavily.
If you don't think that you will enjoy it ALOT, then you probably should not be having sex...

1st time does hurt, for some more then others. There also can be bleeding. Some bleed a little and others bleed more then a little.
There is no way to prevent the pain, nothing I suggest is going to prevent all the pain away.
You will want to be sure the one you have choosen is the one you can relax with. The more tense you are the more pain there is going to be.
You will want to have a lot of forplay. Cause if your not wet and he tries to enter before your ready it will hurt.
Cross over into womanhood has some pain, but if your with the right guy he will do his best to see that it doesn't very as much.
If the guy doesn't put your feelings first when you two are around others, then he certainly isn't going to think about your feelings when you two are alone. And that is a big clue that you should look for another male to be your 1st.

It won't hurt if the guy is well educated about sex.
You need excellent foreplay. There should be enough lubrication or use astroglide or kyjelly. Then insert one small finger inside.
Insert bigger finger. Then two fingers. Gradually increase the size of inserted ones. If you go very slow you will be able to insert a penis without pain.

At the first time, eventhough Hymen is getting teared inside your vagina. you won't feel the pain because of the logic that PLEASURE will be more than the PAIN.

save yourself for your future husband, that's the best way to proceed. what greater gift can you give him than your virginity? if any guy can't honor that than he is not worth dating. you are far too valuable to throw yourself away.
