A vow is only as good as the personal integrity of the vow maker. "Do you" is the wrong question. A better question is, why do so many not take marriage vows seriously? If you are asking me then I say yes, I do. God ordained marriage in the garden and Jesus Himself did his first miracle at a wedding. So yes, my marriage vows are very serious to me because they are serious to God. Marriage holds society together, subtract one parent from a home and you end up with the chaos that is America. Dissolve every marriage in the world and you are left with something very ugly. Vows of any kind today are disposable because we have raised a generation to believe we evolved from monkeys that have no accountability to a higher moral standard. We have foolishly set ourselves to believe that we are the law makers and so can do whatever is "right" in our own eyes, even breaking the most important vow among the sexes, marital commitment.

Of course!.. i dont think marriage vows are just something you say at a wedding and cuz of that you have to stay together in sickness and in health, etc...bcuz i think marriage is just like..the seal on the already established commitment..so the vows, are just expressing what you already feel....already should feel if you really want to be together, that is. Im not married either but i do take them very seriously.

The man I married is the most important person in my life. I can't imagine life without him. I would never do anything to hurt him or make him lose faith in me. Breaking vows is not an option. I'm in it for the long haul.

YES. Been married for 9 1/2 years and never touched another women. I have a cool wife. we trust each other and enjoy each others company. she ordered me a subscription to playboy but I cant look at it till she is finished looking at the pics. She even went to a titty bar with me. One of the funnest times I ever had. we have 3 kids and are very happy. Besides, even if I wasn't happy, it is cheaper to keep her.

Yes, that's why I'm not married yet. The thought of having to kill my husband (until death due us part) just to get out of the relationship is a little farther than I'm willing to go right now.

Remember there're different types of vows or marriage ceremonies. Not all are religious, and it's up to the couple, isn't it?

I take mine seriosuly and so does my husband- why else make the promise to eachother. I do disagree with one of the vows though: "til death do us part"...even that will not part us, we'll be together after that aswell.
