Perhaps according to logic and sociology, language is more than formal rules, but it is also dynamic, changing according to culture waves.
Perhaps because there is a huge gap between Schools and real and dynamic world.
Perhaps because people think faster than they are able to use a keyboard - and then, several mistakes;
Perhaps because some are lazy and just write to expose its own ideas without care about text;
Perhaps because few have dyslexia;

You are suppose to answer or ask questions, not criticize the spelling! If the Q/A's is not spelled correctly, but you are still able to read & understand them, then I don't understand why you have a problem with it! If you are not able to read & understand them then you should just move on to the next question! And if someone answers your question and you can not understand the answer that was given to you, then you should send them a comment asking them if they will explain what they were meaning and if they will use the check spelling, so that the words are spelled correctly?
You should not be Rude or Inconsiderate to others!
You would not like it if they were that way towards you!

Because the caliber of teachers that got into the educational field with lowered standards can't spell either! Those teachers can barely speak beyond grunts. How can you expect more of the students and those that are now grown-ups? Also, we have gown so accustomed to having our computers computers making corrections for us automatically and when we're on the 'net, we grow too lazy to click on the spell check. Also, a lot of people simply do not care and have no pride or concern for self-improvement.
Really and honestly.

There are many reasons; learning difficulties, poor education(it was considered that correcting childrens spelling, stunted their imagination and promoted low self esteem) people don't read what they've written when they're typing, and on here I think its mainly down to trying to type quickly and get the first answer! Besides no ones perfect, and I'm sure even YOU have made the odd spelling mistake!

You poor girl. You asked an honest question, and was subsequently witness to a barrage of rubbish! I teach in a school and I see kids using 'text language' all the time. They become so used to using it that they seem to forget how to spell properly.
In addition, grammatical errors are rife. I went to some great schools, but I don't recall learning much about grammer. In fact, it wasn't until I went to university that I learnt about the correct use of the apostrophe, and what split infinitives are. I'll stop blabbing now.

Maybe schools don't put as much importance on spelling as they used to? Kids should read more too and do less computer games.

The truth is phonetics isn't always used when children are taught to read and write. Even teachers call it the three R's and there is only one "r" in the whole bunch. Go figure.
