with having the Downs Syndrome baby I think they have showed what emotions parents go through when having a handicap child what do you think?

I think that both of them have handled the story really well.

both of them have done extensive research on this subject.

So top marks to Eastenders and all concerned for this storyline.

I'm not really sure how realisitic it all is- I find Honey's reaction so shocking- I can't believe that someone would be like that over their own baby. I think the guy who plays Billy seems pretty good, it's less like he is acting that Honey is. I think sh'es a pretty pathetic character anyways, so hopefully they'll get rid of her soon, Billy could cope with the baby on his own i'm sure.

I think the baby is so lovely, she needs their love. I lost my baby and would have been happy for her to have "only" had Downs rather than something she couldn't even begin to survive from.

Well someone who is going through the same thing wrote into a magazie and said the writers have totally got everything wrong, they said a nurse could just not pick up your baby and disgnose that the baby has got a problem, but I think Billy has played the part well but Honey is just annoying!!!

I think Billy (perry fenwick) has played his part brilliantly, Honey on the other hand, I cant relate to yet, but im sure that this story line will go on for a good few months yet, i thought it was touching last night when she actually held the baby when she was on her own, im sure the emotions on families when a condition like this is diagnosed is tremendously difficult, im sure they will try to show the parents being torn and pulled apart, just like im sure "real" parents are.

totally they are playing the part fantastic they must have done alot of research for it and they are getting across how different people react to such a terrible thing for any parent to accept i think they will come out of it all the more stronger for it honey will accept the baby eventually and they will learn in the end that its not such a terrible thing at all and that they will still what ever the dissabillity have a wonderful, special and loving life with thier daughter

I think Billy has, but I'm not sure about Honey. I haven't seen her in anything else, so it may be that she's playing the part really well, but it all seems a little fake to me.

The subject will have (I guess) touched parents who have been through it all & if they felt as Honey did maybe it will make them realise that the rejection is understandable (broken dreams etc etc). If she 'comes around' to the baby it will be a very positive message for people whos lives involve Downs kids.

As to the acting. Top notch.

i was hoping they would kill honey off in childbirth i think shes a really bad actress. not sure abouth this downs syndrome story either. it would have been better if another couple had a disabled baby but not those two - they havent got a brain cell between them! it sends out the wrong message.

Yes but not really true to life is it?

I could not dream of NOT loving such a child.
I saw an eight month old yesterday and its tiny fingers filled me with compassion.
I have been the same with children all of my life.
Protective.
Even at 83 and male to boot.
