It has to be Gladiator, starring Russel Crowe. The storyline just flows, it's reasonably gripping and you really feel for him when he loses his wife and son. It's a film that stays with you, there's nothing wrong with it, and that's what makes a good film.
I did think of another one but I've forgotten it, which I think proves my point. I can't remember it, it's not very memorable, so it can't be the best.

HI Skate, The best movie very made,Was gone with the wind.It was made in 1939,and it was soooo good,and some parts would make you cry. Clark GABLE,Was the first actor to cuss in a movie. Frankly My Dear I Don't Give A Damn.This is what cussing was back in 1939.

By Miles it has to On the Waterfront Marlon Brando's performance was Excellent. He has a famous line the line is "I could have had class, I could have been a contender, i could have been somebody" which he delivers so well it really puts a lump in your throat a masterpiece.
