As you haven't said which make or model your printer is their recovery systems can be a little bit different but if it is Lexmark or Dell try this:

http://www.faqfarm.com/Q/Why_does_'Error_1068_The_Dependency_Service_or_Group_Failed_To_Start'_appear_when_starting_the_remote_access_auto_connection_manager_in_Windows_XP

Other makes may also work using a similar technique, if you have an Epson or HP I have their customer service "live" support helpful.

This happens quite often at work. Simply close down the computer wait about 2 -3 minutes reboot and the printer should work

Apparently something called Lex BCE server had gotten disabled which print spooler is dependant on.

try this go to command promt
net start spooler

or

"sc config spooler depend= RPCSS"

Try rebooting the computer and if that don't work, Try reinstalling the latest edition of the printer drivers, by downloading them from the manufacture webs site

simple solution would be first uninstal the any drivers and software associated with your printer. After that you try to connect the printer and install everything back again. Don't forget to COLD BOOT your PC after you uninstal (it might help)

BUT make sure your printer have no problem.

I am talking about software problem NOT HARDWARE.

You may want to just bite the bullet, and just reinstall the whole printer again!
