Based on what has happened in the primaries I doubt they will be able to take control. The liberals in the Democrat party are abandoning the principles on which the party was founded and alienating their base. We must stand firm in the War on terror and destroy those who would destroy us. It is up to the Republicans to return to the conservative values of Ronald Regan. If anything is to be accomplished in the next two years we must keep the Republican advantage in the House and Senate.

It will undoubtedly be a very close race with the Dems taking over a few sets, but they won't seep as they think they will. The Republicans are pure assholes but the Democrates are not only assholes but too damn liberal and unpatriotic. They are OK on domestic problems and would probably do a better job on these matters than the Repubs; however, when it comes to national defense and the war with the Muslims I'll put my money on the Repubs. We must take a firm stand with those bastards and the Repubs can do it better than the Dems.

The simple answer is no they wont retake with chamber. The longer answer is that they will win seats in both chambers. In the Senate, it will probably be something like 51-49, 52-48, and since they will have a new found energy, they will block everything that the Republicans bring to the floor. They will filibuster like crazy, and put holds on everything. I wouldnt be surprised if nothing of importance happens in the next Congress. In the House, they will try to obstruct everything possible, and will try to get a few rogue Republicans to vote with them, and break the majoirty. They will try to get their way and do everything they can to obstruct the agenda.

No they will not. It is nut cutting time and they still have no ideas. Nothing except Bush bashing going on. They do not have a clue about Iraq, their financial ideas consist of raising taxes and spreading the money around. ( wealth redistribution). Of coarse not their money just my money. Nothing new, no innovation, nothing. Their ideas on Iraq and the war on terror scare me more than the terrorists. Announce when we will leave Iraq. Just give Iraq to El Queda is what that is. Cut and run just like they convinced congress and the President to do in Viet Nam. It didn't work then and won't work now. If we are foolish enough to elect Democrats the terrorists will be at our door again in no time. Even I can see that they are just waiting to attack again. They won't do it while a Republican is in office because Republicans strike back hard. Dem's tend to think we can just take people who kill us to court. This just emboldens them to try something bigger to kill more of us.

Tradsports.com allows people to 'put their money where their mouth is' on many issues including this one. Historically they are quite accurate. As of today, Republican control of the Senate is rated at around 89%. Republican control of the House is at about 55% but gaining slowly.

Oh, I certainly hope so.
A lot of people are tired of the current slate of characters in Washington, DC.
Personally, I want a Democratic House and Senate so that Bush can be impeached.
If it were up to me, he would receive benefit of a Nixon-style impeachment...full on!

My problem is not with who I think might win, but that I don't think it will make any difference.
Now that scares the heck out of me!
