my sister in law is a liar and loves to compete?

my fiancee's brother left his wife and three children for a girl that is 19.he's 27.she loves to compete with me and my fiancee's sister.everytime we get something she makes him-my brother-in-law- buy her something either like it or better.it is starting to get one everyones nerves.we dont want to be rude to her because it will push him away.she also lies about everything.she started a bunch of rumors about my fiancee cheating on me when i know they weren't true because the day it "happened"we were outta town.how do we tell her to back off with out being rude?

Cant u talk the brother first. Maybe he can talk to her and they can sort it out. Talk about your feelings.

She is a child and she wants what you've got, and she knows she aint getting it.
The rumour thing was a bit harse from her side, but she is just jealous.

Whenever they come over take your sister in law and tell her u want to show her something or she should quickly come and help u. Then when she offers to help or something u say no, enjoy yourself we dont need your help we can handle it.
All u do is dissapear and try and ignore her as much as possible.
Remember your an adult and she is not one yet. She is immature and childish if she carries on this way. What does her bf say about the rumours? Did he actually believer her?
Be polite but u dont have to make conversation.
If u dont say anything she wont be able to say anything and there would be no rumours.
