It may be as mundane as how Tommy James got the idea for the Shondells' classic hit "Mony Mony." He was looking out the window of his New York City apartment and saw the "MONY" (Mutual of New York) building.
Could be that Boney and Mony are related, but maybe not in the same Moroni family.

i think its a song by jimmy and the rackets, i also think they was a blues musician by that name, but im not sure of that one.
