Why not, that is why just about every country has outlawed drunken driving.

People rely on religion to provide them with much needed faith. Communism outlaws the open practice of religion. Mass outlawing of ANYTHING is called repression. And just because the government makes something illegal does not mean that it will end. What about free will? People will choose to worship anyway, even if they have to give up everything else (that is how the USA got started, right? ) Most folks would rather die than live without being able to rely on religion.

Opposites should co-exist, for the world to be interesting and livabale. It is the nature.
Light-dark
good-bad
etc.
Likewise there are good people and bad bad people in any religion. If we had outlawed Christianity for the murders in the initial centuries where would the world be now.
For that matter all religions have had bad and good phases in their History. It is the people that makes the difference not the religions per se.

Religion will kill you, stay away from religion. Instead develop a
relationship with God Almighty. Make Him your Father and be His
child through the reconciliation of the Lord Jesus Christ. He gave
His life for you.

Not really no. The people who kill in the name of religion would then kill people as a way of protesting the outlawing of religion.

I'm no fan of religion, but the same could be said of many things...money, romantic love, road rage, material possessions.
hell, that poor woman had her throat slashed so that her assailant could steal her newborn.
but we're not going to outlaw cash, passion, cars, belongings or babies.

Should we ban religion? If that your question,it would be impossiable to do, people depend to much on it. Look what happens when one religion or another if proscuted, it never ends up well. Technically, its not religion itself that causes conflict, its how people interpret it.
