I have provided my IP address to my boss so I can access the work network and work from home. Can he now spy on my screen remotely as can be done with the work computers.

No. If your system has no serious security vulnerabilities, then nobody should be able to open your files, or see what you're doing. IP addresses are usually quite easy to find - almost all websites keep track of your IP address, usually for statistical purposes; this does NOT mean that they have access to your files.
However, if you are told to install 'dubious' software to connect to the office (ie. if you cannot check who wrote this software), then there MAY be a security threat.

He can watch whats happin during your connetion to your work. But theres a lot of ways to get into your PC when you provide some1 with your static IP. Like portscans and other stuff. But if your boss isnt to much into PCs than its ok. And dont be afraid. What you can do is block IPs from your work to connect on your PC (but you need to turn it off everytime you want to connect back to work)

well if he is good at computer stuff, then he would be able to monitor your system.Try not to share your computer and configure your woindows firewall to block all access to ur computer from the network.I also recommend you to install a firewall and monitor ur system. If u are familair with hacking,u might wana trace ur bosse's IP and block it.Use ip tracers, spoofers, port scans. If u do not know how to use them, then just install a firewall and it will monitor ur system

Only if you have given sharing on your computer without a password otherwise it is not possible to see anything from your computer remotely.
