'geez'- what do you mean? What have YOU heard??
'mom'-All brands take people's names!
Btw, I'm 16 and it's MY name.
I'm not having my own kid! Not yet, anyway!
Not unless I have a committed, caring partner/helping share buddy.
I KNEW I should have put it under something else!
But everyone is asking about opinion of names under here!
Why won't she be comfortable with it?
I am meeting new people EVERYWHERE with that name too, shockingly!
Everyone-
What would you think of a mother who called her daughter that?

I personally do not like it. I would rather name my baby Sabrina or Sabine (French/German form of this name).
Usage: Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Romanian, Polish, Czech, Slovene, Russian
Other Scripts: Сабина (Russian)
Pronounced: sah-BEE-nah (Italian, Spanish)
Feminine form of Sabinus, a Roman cognomen meaning "Sabine woman" in Latin. The Sabines were an ancient people who lived in central Italy, their lands eventually taken over by the Romans after several wars. According to legend, the Romans abducted several Sabine women during a raid. When the men came to rescue them, the women were able to make peace between the two groups.
Used to be a mildy popular name back in the early 1900's. It cracked the top 1000 in the USA until the end of the 20's.

Don't know.We have a scouring powder by that name in south India! Why don't you choose a name that your child would be comfortable with when she grows up? But not a very common name.
