From what I've experienced it was dependent on where the individual is from. Eastern Europeans who grew up in a communistic state are different that those of the western Europe. The English are much different than the French, and the Americans are different than those both. Even in America we have different wants and needs, plus our reactions are different depending on the area and "status" we grew up in. I know this isn't really an answer to the question, but its what I think. As for a major interest in a Midwestern American male, (which I am), that would be good friends, stable job, college football (OSU 1!!!), and need to enjoy life freely.

There are many differences and even more generalizations but the first one that comes to my mind is that the average American is more religious than the average European.
Also, Americans can be more easy-going, Europeans can be way too serious especially about politics or history.

depression rates, europeans are more relaxed, and don't work as hard as americans. they take 3 hour lunch breaks, smoke break, coffee break (well you get my point), but as for Americans we live in a more fast paced society which really doesn't give us much time to relax and take a chill pill. we work longer and work harder.

America is Dollar Europe is Euro.- the basic and the only difference.
rest all is like other countries- people, corruption, crimes,etc etc,.
