A friend of mine is anxious to get started in Crimerica and he won't listen to my advice. Maybe he'll listen to an objective 3rd party, like you.

Primerica, and many other businesses like it, are really good at selling people on a dream and capitalizing on the struggles and "failures" we've already experienced.

There is an almost universal appeal to someone who sees him or herself as a habitual underdog and is finally able to do something to change their status/position.

It reminds me of the advertisements in comics and magazines in the 60's/70's that showed the stereotypical 98 lb weakling who's having the local pretty boy body building beach bum kick sand in his face. Then Jack LaLane or some other fitness guru comes along and offers the solution.

My neighbor was approached by these thieves,, uuh hh I mean people to be a sales person. She has never done sales - she was 35 never worked outside the home besides being a waitress. She was so flattered, she went to the interview (I showed her many of the websites you show here) and they said she was TOO EXPERIENCED to work in sales, they would start her as a Sales Manager. When she balked and showed them many times over that she wasn't experienced enough for that, they said that the primary experience they looked for in this very, very elite position was (Drum roll, can you guess, can you guess now? ))) WAITRESSING! They were specifically looking for waitresses to manage their multi million dollar people because they could manage their time well. I'm not against waitresses- I have waitressed a lot in my life... but you don't make the jump from that profession to managing a multimillion dollar account.
