Brown discahrge can be signs of an infection, If is is acompanied by a fowl smell, ir itchiness, id would get checked out.
Other than that, it could be a sign of an oncoming period. Normal discharge soemtimes is mixed with the drops of blood form the cervix, which eventually turns into a period.
If you have any of the symptms mentioed earlier then i would go to your doctors. They will probably carry out a swab< which in some cases you can perfom yourself, it simple. And this will be sent away to check for any infections.

Assuming you mean discharge from the front, it can be that it is the 'old' blood that is still coming away from you. I also suffer with this. With me, it can last anything from the first few days after you period, to the next period!! Get it checked though as it could also be an infection.

Brown discharge indicates blood loss if it's from the front! Get it checked out ASAP as it's not normal unless you're due on your period or just finished one.

Front or back 'passage'?...
If it lasts for 24 hours or more, or if you have any aches/pains/discomfort visit Dr ASAP
But to be honest best thing is to ring NHS direct 0845 4647 (this is the correct length of numbers - I know it seems wrong)

well if you are a woman, it could be old blood in the uterus, especially if you have just stopped your period with in the last week or so. this is not anything serious, more common than not, but if you are concerned about it i would suggest seeing your gyn. if your a guy.....your doctor, asap!!

It's not good, whereever its coming from. You should go see a doc ASAP. This is an infection of some type.
