Its important that know that u r seperate that u spend a lot of quality time together.
Give him a set routine.
Take a big board and start writing
7:00 am wake up, mommy and me have breakfast at the table.
7:20 am brush teeth, get dressed, make bed
7:35 am help mommy make lunch
Stuff like that
U make time scedules so he will get into a healthy routine.
Like say 2 nites in a week, u can have mommy and me time.
This is where u play together, silly games that he likes. Praise him a lot and try to make it fun.
Have a video nite.
There r so many things u can do.
Make a point of it to let him help u around the house. He will learn to be self efficient and diciplined. Teach him how to cook and things. U will have a lot of fun.
His studying is important so set a time everyday for that as well. Discuss the scedule with the father and make him set one up for them to. So the routine doesnt get compromised.
You'll c you'll have a much happier child and he will also be more focussed.
Im not saying that scedule your life and live by it. Just mainly getting him into a good routine that fits in with your lifestyle.
If your busy cleaning and cooking, he is probably playing games or watching tv rather that doing something constructive.
Dont think just becoz he is a boy he doesnt belong in the kitchen or doing things around the house and never say that he is too young. Even if you just let him make toast and butter it.
Its also important to feed yourself and your child healthy food and not take aways and sweets. Make sure he gets enough excersize. Obesity is one of the biggest things to hit everywhere in the world these days. In 3 years your son will be a teenager, you have to start preparing him and yourselves for that as well.
Im sure your a great mother and so is his father and the 2 of u do a wonderful job.
You'll be fine. Youve been doing it for 10 years whats another 10 more?!!

If it's at all possilbe to home school him, that would be nice. I also think it's nice if a boy can be active in some sort of sport, in particular a martial art.
