The Travel Lodge on St Mary Street. 1 minute walk from the train station and bang in the heart of Cardiff. Nice and clean and cheap too.

There is an Ibis hotel right on the end of Churchill Way. It's around £60 a night and is about as close as you can get to the City Centre.
The Big Sleep is just around the corner or you can go a stones throw away from the city centre and stay in the B&Bs in Catherdral Road or try the Riverside Hotel which is a bit closer.
Cardiff is great & has a lot to do.
You'll have a good time regardless :-)

Cardiff Marriott is about the best place. Fairly cheap with great facilities and right in the hub of things.

Cathedral road is only a 5 minute walk from the city centre. Along here you with find at least a dozen B+B'S , with vary prices.
They should be cheaper than the city centre places and it is only a very short distance away.

I going to sell riverside ground floor apartment on 46 Taff Mead Embankment this October or November, which is three bedroom, a large kitchen, living room and courtyard. I have stayed there and it's good value.

Hilton Express. It is not a wonderful place, with no amenities, but the situation is perfect. Enjoy!
