I have a toshiba, i was told to stay away from hp. You want atleast 512mb of ram, and a decent size hard driver around 60 to 80gb or more to hold all your games. Oh ya and a graphics card to make those games look nice.

Get the Acer Aspire 5670. for $1400-1500 you get: 120 GB hardrive, 2 GB RAM. ATI X1400 graphix card (whoever i talk to is suprised to see one of those in a laptop.) it has intel duo core processor, bluetooth, wireless, and a 17in screen. But its not too heavy. oh it also has a camera and card reader.

Accer is it, large RAM size, CD/DVD burner, Large hard disk, good motherboard and very high CPU speed, magnificient VGA for ur games...no ventilation probs, don't go for anything else

dell's okay they set up my computer to dl and burn music with several programs - thats my thing ; ) but i have had a problem with the internet port and my mother board had to be replace. they also have a problem with ventilation in their laptops they only have one fanned vent. the fans also have a tendency to break. i wouldnt get one again, might want to check out mac.

Alienware would be your best bet for games cause thats what they are designed for. Anything else is just a small caculator
