Why do they constantly tear down their President? Don't they realize this makes them all look stoopid?

Sure, Freedom of speech, democracy, blah, blah. If you want to give me that cr*p take it somewhere else.

Criticising his policies is one thing, but it's another to impeach his credibility and make him look like an ***. Don't you guys realize this is seen around the world?

NB: It seems as though several people have misunderstood the question. I am not asking for futher criticisms of GWB. I'm asking about the effect you think this has on America.

Just because he was voted into office doesn't mean that everyone voted for him. Besides, everyone else in the world thinks he already looks like an ***, why should we back up someone who is probably ruining the lives of future generations?

"The President is merely the most important among a large number of public servants. He should be supported or opposed exactly to the degree which is warranted by his good conduct or bad conduct, his efficiency or inefficiency in rendering loyal, able, and disinterested service to the Nation as a whole. Therefore it is absolutely necessary that there should be full liberty to tell the truth about his acts, and this means that it is exactly necessary to blame him when he does wrong as to praise him when he does right. Any other attitude in an American citizen is both base and servile. To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public. Nothing but the truth should be spoken about him or any one else. But it is even more important to tell the truth, pleasant or unpleasant, about him than about any one else."

"Roosevelt in the Kansas City Star", 149
May 7, 1918

The spirit of resistance to government is so valuable on certain occasions, that I wish it to be always kept alive. It will often be exercised when wrong, but better so than not to be exercised at all. I like a little rebellion now and then. It is like a storm in the atmosphere." --Thomas Jefferson to Abigail Adams, 1787.

I have never said a foul word about that man except for his resemblance of a chimpanzee, once. You just think that one American represents all of us. That's like saying all the British people love Tony Blair. Or the French are all snobs who hate foreigners, especially Americans. It's not true for all of them. I support him because he is my president, he is the figurehead of this nation and is doing what he thinks is right. I understand where people come from, but I will not believe the same things they do. The only thing you see on news is negative useless drivel...I'm not going to care in 10 years if this or that happened, it's a good cause to take a dictator we put into power, out of power.

WE are making him look stupid? Now that is indeed a funny assertation. Your amazement that we are making him look stupid shows that you do not know anything about him and his personal and professional history. This man has failed throughout his life and although he has had all the assitence to hurdle the lowered bar, he has managed to screw up at every turn in his life.

Bush needs a lot of help, but the only thing he doesn't need help on is looking stupid. THAT he manages all on his own. Bush is his own worst enemy.

He is the first president that lost the popular vote and was still elected that is a fact. Instead of concentrating on the perpetrators of 911 he was sidetracked by his greed and decided to go after Iraq instead of the heart of the problem which evolved in Afghanistan and is now in Pakistan. He put people in charge that made our country look bad in Iraq (mistreatment in the prisons in Iraq and just bad decisions in general) He wouldn't even accept an invitation to debate the president of Iran and he sends our men to fight and die which to me is just plain cowardice. Do you want me to go on?

I used to be a supporter of Bush, but ever since this crap with the illegal Mexicans in this country started, I've found myself more and more disgusted with him.

And it's not just Americans bashing Bush. I've noticed many Europeans and Asians bashing him more than I've seen any other American.

And it's mainly the dumb-o-rats that are the one berating him. Guess they have nothing better to do than to whine.

It really dont matter that the rest of the world hears what we say. The rest of the world already sees our president and should understand why we criticize. And if they dont then Oh well...

I agree. We should focus more on unity. We show division and weakness when we bash the man in charge. Even if we don't agree with him we should still understand he's our prez and we shouldn't bash the man. I still believe in the right to respectfully disagree then if you don't like the man vote someone you do like in. He was voted in. I didn't like Clinton much but I respected the office.

Only the stupid ones tear him down. It is certainly alright disagree, but today's generation has gone beyond the bounds of
civil disagreement. Pray for our nation that it may be healed.

People RESPECT the president, and that is why some criticizes him. If nobody criticized the president, than it would mean that he is fear-full guy and anybody who says anything about him would be arrested.
