I feel that eventually it is inevitable that your own hurt will revisit you some day mentally, physically, or in love.

Let it go. Be the better person. There is no such thing as hurting without causing yourself hurt in return. The best thing you can wish for is that by you being happy and successful, that other person will kick him/her self in the ar*se for being such a jerk
